A Sunday afternoon in October--red leaves against white, cloudy sky, everything hushed and settling in. Down the sidewalk and over the hill, through the streets we go.

A few recent paintings inspired by the "morning pages", a daily practice that cultivates honesty, authenticity and turning off the inner critic. So, I'm indulging in the scribbly, the messy, the dark. And it's so much fun! 

These are a few paintings I did of  Vancouver Island this summer. We hiked down to China Beach one morning and spent the day lounging amongst the bleached driftwood, baking in the sun, and just listening to the waves roll in and out.
