I was a featured artist on Peacetown, USA -- a website created by the David Lynch Foundation. The interview questions, compiled by the amazing singer and performer, Adrien Daller, were fun and challenging--like writing an artist's statement! Art opening at the Beauty Shop last Friday night. It was an AMAZING turnout--thanks everyone for your support:)

This Friday I have a show in the Beauty Shop, an awesome venue for artists and musicians to play and get their work out there. If you are in town, come on by! 

A Sunday afternoon in October--red leaves against white, cloudy sky, everything hushed and settling in. Down the sidewalk and over the hill, through the streets we go.

A few recent paintings inspired by the "morning pages", a daily practice that cultivates honesty, authenticity and turning off the inner critic. So, I'm indulging in the scribbly, the messy, the dark. And it's so much fun! 

These are a few paintings I did of  Vancouver Island this summer. We hiked down to China Beach one morning and spent the day lounging amongst the bleached driftwood, baking in the sun, and just listening to the waves roll in and out. 

I was commissioned by the M.S.A.E. Senior boys to paint a mural for the school for their senior class gift. They came up with the idea to paint the Tree of Knowledge through the four seasons and in each season the various school activities they participate in. The roots encompass a circle of meditating students, illustrating the principle: Water the root to enjoy the fruit. This was such a fulfilling project, especially having been a student there myself and being able to give back to such an amazing school.
